At The Sports Are For Everyone Fund, we have one main objective and that is to support the young talent of our nation in the various sporting fields. With the help of your donations, many hardworking sportspersons can kickstart their careers. These sportsmen and woman have worked extremely hard, day and night, to achieve their dreams and with a little push from you all, these dreams can turn into realities. There is a monumental amount of poverty in India, which has a direct relation to why India, a country with over 1.4 billion people with immense talent is not able to produce sportspersons in various sports. Because of this widespread poverty, it is extremely hard for most Indian families to provide their children with the financial support they need to excel at sports. This results in a massive deal of talent to go undiscovered. After a certain amount of time, many Indian sports men and woman are forced to leave the sport they have dedicated most of their life to because they are not capable of matching the extreme costs of the game. In a sport like table tennis, a professional racquet can cost upwards of 16,000 rupees, in cricket a professional kit can cost from 6,000 rupees to 10,000 rupees and in field hockey, just a hockey stick can cost up to 12,590 rupees. How can a daily wage worker or a farmer or an autorickshaw driver manage to afford such heavy prices? By the time the cost of this equipment is covered, poor communities in India will simply not have the financial resources for professional coaching or even to participate. Poverty can deprive people from sports, but sports can also change their lives. Sports has a lot to offer financially and in terms of health. Success in sports can provide these children with the financial aid to develop in their lives, and the sporting expertise neccesary to qualify for a profession as a coach. We believe that every person regardless of their gender, race, financial condition or any other factor should have the right to play because SPORTS ARE FOR EVERYONE. We believe that every person should enjoy the pleasure of playing sports, every person should be a part of the social interaction, team spirit and most importantly enjoy the game because SPORTS ARE FOR EVERYONE.

Hello! I am Dev Jhaveri, a 15-year-old boy from Mumbai, India. Over my life, I have juggled various sports like tennis, skating, swimming, badminton, cricket and more. I have had the opportunity to play competitive table tennis for the past 5 years and have participated in numerous state and national competitions. Over my years of playing, I have been fortunate enough to meet numerous people from places all over India from megacities like Pune to rural communities like Sangli or Nanded. I saw and heard about many sportsmen and women who weren't able to participate in such events because of their financial condition. In the academy I practice at, there are four sportsmen from the Nehru Nagar slum area who have been playing for over 4 years each. They have immense dedication and love for the sport, but are not able to play most of the state and national events because of a lack in funds. I saw this and felt extremely empathetic for my friends, they weren't able to use their talent to their advantage. My heart sank, and that's how I got the idea of staring the S.A.F.E. Fund. So please, I request you to donate and help these sportspersons achieve their dreams!
